I love the concept of this comic, and I like some of the gameplay choices I see here. I LOVE the backgrounds.
But the gameplay feels like it could use more polish. It’d be nice to see some more optional stuff to do and obtain. For instance, in the village, why couldn’t I walk into the buildings? That wasn’t something that should be required, per se, but I’d have loved to talk to some of the inhabitants to get more lore and background on the planet. In fact, more lore and background in general would be nice. This episode was woefully short and contained no “real” gameplay, despite the weapons you can find. Therefore, it came off feeling somewhat short.
Despite the little complaints I have, I’ll certainly bookmark this and check on it every now and then. After all, what other game can I play as a mushroom-trippin’ space captain who travels the galaxy throwing rocks at his enemies? XD
Thanks for your comment! (Also congrats on being the first non-spam comment on this site). The next few episodes are going to be more combat heavy, and longer as well.
As for optional content, I’ve got to combat my weekly update schedule, however I’ve managed to get ahead of my release schedule by a few episodes, meaning I can put a fair amount of cool hidden stuff in later episodes, since I’ve got time now. Episode 8, in particular, will probably almost double in length if you do all the optional bits. It will also get into a bit more of the lore.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed, and I hope to see you back for future episodes.
